We only have a week to go until Dami Im drops her brand new album, titled “I Hear A Song”. This week saw her release the last promotional single for the album, which also acts as the title track. The song is one of the originals that can be found on the album which sidles up perfectly with the covers on the LP.
“I Hear A Song” is a jazz-influenced track that really manages to showcase Dami Im’s beautiful vocals. It follows previous promotional singles “Autumn Leaves” and “Feeling Good“, yet this has to be our favourite purely because she sounds amazing on the track in every way. We guess originals by Dami Im are just better. It was written by Dami Im and Rick Price, and produced by the latter.

The song hits in straight away with a piano, some finger-clicks and Dami Im’s shining vocal. She’s, once again, clear and crisp giving us “Feeling Good” vibes, which explains why this song follows that cover on the album.
“I Hear A Song” is beautiful in every way as Dami Im whisks us away to a classy hotel where she’s the live act. We can’t believe that this is an original, it sounds as if it’s a classic that everyone’s known for forever. This is one that should go down in history and be covered many times in the future.
It is far removed from her popular Eurovision Song Contest 2016 track “Sound Of Silence”, but this is what Dami Im does best; she’s completely versatile. Back in 2016, she represented her home country of Australia at Eurovision, coming second with 511 points, which is the country’s biggest score to date. That year, Ukraine won with Jamala’s “1944”. Previously, she won The X Factor Australia season five.
This track is available to download and stream right now through Sony Music Entertainment Australia. The album, also titled “I Hear A Song”, will be released on 23 March 2018.
