Game’s over for Julian Edelman and Adriana Lima.
The couple of less than a year called it quits in late February, E! News reported Wednesday, attributing the split to their conflicting schedules.
Brazilian supermodel Lima and New England Patriots star Edelman became an item over the summer after being introduced by mutual friends in Miami. They kept their romance hush-hush until they were photographed together in Nantucket last July.
As Edelman’s season progressed, TMZ reported Lima would trek to Boston to visit. Lima also cheered Edelman on at Super Bowl LI in Houston, where the Patriots receiver made “one of the greatest catches” quarterback Tom Brady had ever seen, a juggling reception that set up New England’s game-tying touchdown against the Falcons. The Patriots won, 34-28, in overtime.
“Amazing, unbelievable catch. He saved the whole game,” Lima told E! News.
Lima has been busying herself with public engagements since the split. Edelman has been spending time with newborn daughter Lily, whom he welcomed in December with Swedish model Ella Rose. Edelman and Rose dated casually for two years.
